LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) – The FBI says a man has been arrested in Kentucky for a Jan. 22 kidnapping in the Kansas City, Missouri area.

According to an FBI press release, 25-year-old Robert Caldwell -- of Danville -- was arrested Tuesday at about 3:30 p.m. after a car and foot chase in Lincoln County, Kentucky.

After days of searching, authorities caught up with the suspect from Kentucky who stole a person's van in Missouri last week. The victim escaped and his van was found in Bardstown.

Police say he and another man kidnapped someone from Missouri last week, and stole that person's van.

Authorities caught up with Caldwell Tuesday in Lincoln County.

He had stolen a white Jeep at gunpoint in Casey County. And when KSP learned the Jeep had been involved in a hit-and-run collision, they began searching for it.

After multiple agencies searched for several hours, Caldwell was taken into custody in Lincoln County.

The FBI says he had abandoned another car in Pulaski County before carjacking the Jeep.

Caldwell is facing numerous charges, including kidnapping, robbery, fleeing and evading police and criminal mischief.

Police are still looking for the second suspect.
