LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The Doss High School basketball player and his father accused of hitting a coach say they're not guilty.

Demetrius Franklin and his son, Daelyn Franklin, were in court Friday morning to face assault charges.

Police say after a Jan. 24 game at Trinity High School, they confronted the Doss basketball coach. Warrants state that the two hit Tony Williams several times in a school hallway.

Police say the father smelled of alcohol when he was arrested. He was allegedly upset about his son's playing time.

The judge ordered the two to have no contact with the coach.
