LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - Perry Counties officers were just trying to serve an arrest warrant Saturday night.

What they found at a home in Cannelton, Ind., was much more than they anticipated.

Officers arrived at 310 Washington Street to serve an arrest warrant for 42-year-old James Roy White II.

He was wanted for failing to appear on previous charges in Perry County on possessing over 1.5 pounds of marijuana, a domestic battery case and a warrant in Breckinridge County, Ky.

White was arrested without incident, but while in the home, officers smelled burnt marijuana.

After a search, they found drug paraphernalia and baggies containing 48 grams of marijuana.

Tara Whistle, 37, was in the home and taken into custody and charged with five separate drug charges.

A child was also present, and he was taken by the Department of Child Services.

White was arrested on three outstanding warrants and four additional drug-related charges.
