Floyd County Clerk wants more voting machines to curb long lines on Election Day

Posted: Updated:
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A meeting in New Albany Tuesday afternoon aims to fix election flaws.

Long lines at the polls made voting an unpleasant experience in November. The problem was caused by glitches in the voting machines.

Floyd County Clerk Christy Eurton has asked the council for 86 more machines -- but the decision has been pushed off until next month.

Today at 4:30, Eurton will meet with the election board and council to explain why the machines are needed. The meeting at the Pine View Government Center on Corydon Pike is open to the public.
