LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Fire and EMS was on the scene of an apartment fire at Pebble Creek Apartments Tuesday afternoon, according to WDRB reporter Tamara Evans, who was there at the scene.

Eight apartment units were damaged by water or smoke.

At least half a dozen fire departments responded to the scene.

The apartment complex is near the corner of Fern Valley Road and Old Shepherdsville Road.

No one was injured, according to a spokesperson on the scene.

The Red Cross is assisting residents who have been displaced.

Officials are still looking into what caused the fire, though investigators believe the fire began in the building's attic.
