LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A small precinct in Valley Station that used to be dry will soon be able to sell alcohol after a vote Tuesday.

According to the Jefferson County Board of Elections, the motion was passed 102-31.

Precinct A-128 in Valley Station had been dry, which kept a small diner and gas station food mart from selling alcohol

After the Rhythm Food Mart at Valero filed a motion, the issue was brought to a vote for residents of the precinct Tuesday.

The results now mean alcohol sales will be allowed by law in the precinct.
