LMPD officer pleads not guilty to assaulting students

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A school resource officer accused of punching one student in the face and choking another was in court Friday. 

A not guilty plea was entered for LMPD Officer Jonathan Hardin. The judge ordered Hardin to have no contact with the the victims or Olmsted Academy North, where Hardin worked until the school removed him on Jan. 28.

Last summer, Hardin and others were reported for allegedly abusing children at the Gentleman's Academy.

Hardin has been suspended without pay from LMPD pending the outcome of his case and internal investigations.
