Police respond to fatal West Hill Street shooting

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - Two people are found shot to death inside a home near Dixie Highway and police say a of couple factors are making it difficult for them to find who pulled the trigger.

Police lights brighten the early morning darkness as the investigation began Saturday morning.

"Officers arrived and they did locate two victims inside the residence, deceased," LMPD Spokesperson Carey Klain told WDRB News.

Those victims are 30-year-old Aaron Combs and 28-year-old Julie Clemons. They were found inside a home on West Hill Street near Dixie Highway around 4:20 a.m., where police believe they lived.

A friend who provided pictures of the victims says it's a tragedy. She says she texted Clemons when she heard about the shooting, but never thought the person on the other side of that message would be the one shot and killed.

The LMPD Homicide Unit is investigating, but police say one thing that makes this case so difficult is the time of day and hardly any witnesses.

"At this point there's just not a lot of people out, it's very quiet here on the street - at this point we're just looking for any information that anyone might have," said Klain.

Police are searching for a suspect. Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call 574-LMPD.
