Identity of victim killed in New Albany house fire released by authorities

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - The identity of the male victim who died following a Saturday morning house fire in New Albany has been released.

The victim has been identified as 58-year-old Earl L. Moore, according to New Albany Police Chief Todd Bailey. Officials say they are now investigating the fire as a homicide.

Members of the New Albany Fire Department and New Albany Police Department responded to the fire, located in the 2300 block of Park Avenue, at about 3:45 a.m. on Saturday. 

Emergency workers rescued Moore from the home. He was taken to Floyd Memorial Health Services, where he was pronounced dead.
