LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - Louisville Metro Police have arrested a woman officials say stole valuables from her employer.

Tracye Ware, 41, was arrested on Monday afternoon in the 2300 block of Hurstbourne Village Drive, near Bunsen Parkway.

Police say Ware stole $1,000 worth of jewelry on Jan. 27 and Jan. 28, while working as a home health care worker. Authorities say Ware then sold the jewelry to a consignment shop.

The official police report states that Ware was an employee of Helping Hands.

Investigators say the jewelry has since been recovered.

Ware is charged with one count of theft.
