BULLITT COUNTY, Ky. (WDRB) – The Bullitt County Sheriff's Office says a pizza delivery driver was shot Tuesday evening just outside Shepherdsville.

According to a release, the victim had just delivered a pizza in the Kings Forrest subdivision and was stopped by another vehicle while leaving the neighborhood. Police say a white male in his late teens or early twenties got out of the car from the passenger side and approached the victim's car with a gun.

The suspect approached the driver's door and shot into the window, hitting the driver in the forearm.

The pizza delivery driver drove around the suspect's car and to a nearby gas station to call 911, according to the release.

Police say the suspect's vehicle is a dark gray Toyota Matrix with a gray and white “Young Life” sticker on the rear window. The vehicle's license plate had palm trees on it, but police did not say what state it was from or what the number was.

Police say there was another suspect driving the vehicle and described him as a white man with a short, dark beard. The shooter is described as over six feet tall and wearing a red toboggan.

Police say the investigation is treating the crime as an attempted murder. They say the motive is unclear, the incident may have been an unsuccessful attempted robbery.

If you have any information on the suspects or their vehicle, you are asked to call 502-543-2514. The sheriff's office also says you can submit information through their Facebook page or the mobile app ‘Mobile Patrol'.
