Rand Paul may run for offices of both U.S. President and U.S. Senate at the same time

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- It may be possible to run for Rand Paul to run for president and the U.S. Senate at the same time.

He's already announced he'll run again for U.S. Senate.

If Paul also runs for president, his name will appear twice on the ballot, which is not allowed under Kentucky law. To get around this, Paul is asking the state Republican party to hold a presidential caucus in 2016.

If the party just chooses Paul as its presidential nominee, he would only appear on the Kentucky ballot once, as a U.S. Senate candidate.
