Anonymous tip leads to drug seizure, arrest

BEDFORD, Ky. (WDRB) -- Police say a Bedford, Kentucky man is facing numerous drug charges after Kentucky State Police raided his home based on an anonymous tip.

According to a news release from the KSP post in Campbellsville, Ky.. an anonymous tip was received about possible drug activity at a home on Kenlee Drive. When troopers searched the home, they found $15,275 in cash, approximately 2.5 pounds of marijuana, 528 pseudoephedrine tablets, a gun, illegal drug paraphernalia, items used in the cultivation of marijuana and other narcotics.

James Singleton, 53, was arrested for possession of a firearm and handgun by a convicted felon, trafficking in marijuana over 8 ounces, possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia, and unlawful possession of a meth precursor.

The investigation is ongoing.

Singleton was being held at the Carroll County Detention Center.
