The Weather Channel visits Louisville to cover winter storm
A crew from The Weather Channel arrived in Louisville Sunday night to cover the storm.
A big satellite truck was positioned on the Great Lawn on Louisville's Waterfront Park. The crew was in Nashville Sunday night, but realized they needed to switch gears and get to Louisville.
Meteorologist Maria LaRosa says it has been fun to watch the storm unfold in the Derby City.
"It's been on our radar, so to speak, for a couple days now, and we knew it was going to be impacting an area that has been sort of quiet so far this winter, and we were going to head to Nashville because of the snow centering around there, and the last few days the models were nudging that sweet spot a little farther north," said LaRosa.
The crew will be leaving town Tuesday morning.
