Several fire crews respond to LaGrange house fire

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - Several fire departments responded to the scene of a large house fire in LaGrange on Friday night, according to Major Kevin Thompson of LaGrange Fire and Rescue.

The fire happened in the 4600 block of Saddler Mill Road at around 9:30 p.m.

Multiple fire departments responded to the scene, including crews from LaGrange Fire, South Oldham Fire, North Oldham Fire and Ballardsville Fire.

Major Thompson said the family was home at the time of the fire, but that everyone was able to escape. No injuries were reported.

Crews were able to put out the fire and the scene was cleared at around 2:30 a.m. The home sustained major water and smoke damage.

Investigators are working to determine the cause of the fire.

Officials say the family is being assisted by local aid workers.
