LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- ALDI is opening another store in Louisville.

That's according to a press release sent to the WDRB newsroom. The newest Louisville store will be located at 10620 Westport Road. This will be the fourth Aldi store in Louisville, and the sixth location in the greater Louisville metro area.

To celebrate the opening of the new Louisville store ALDI will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 9 a.m. on Thursday, March 5. The public is invited to attend. After the ceremony, the first 100 shoppers will receive a golden ticket, each containing ALDI gift certificates of various amounts.

Customers can also sample ALDI exclusive brand products and enter an on-site sweepstakes for a chance to win a year's supply of ALDI produce. ALDI currently carries nearly 70 varieties of fruits and vegetables, including several organic produce items.

"As ALDI continues to grow in Louisville, we are pleased to open this new location to help more customers stretch their dollars even further," said Laura Bauer, Greenwood division vice president for ALDI. "As important as price is, there's only one way to attract and keep shoppers: You have to have quality products. When people try our ALDI exclusive brands, they are surprised by the savings and impressed by the quality."

ALDI also saves shoppers money by keeping stores open during prime shopping times. The newest location will be open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday. ALDI accepts cash, debit and EBT/Quest cards.

Over the next several years, ALDI plans to add an average of 130 new stores each year, expanding the ability to bring grocery savings to more people every day.
