LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) --The man charged with murder in what police are calling a road rage incident has pleaded not guilty.

Christopher McCullum appeared in court Thursday morning and asked for a public defender.

Court documents show McCullum and his wife have been in the process of divorcing. They have two children together.

McCullum is a master electrician, but the latest court records say he is unemployed and has been working odd jobs on a suspended license.

Police say McCullum shot and killed the driver of a black Lexus SUV on I-71 South near the Gene Snyder Freeway just before 9 a.m. on Feb. 25.

McCullum remains jailed on a $100,000 full cash bond.
