LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Cynthia Weigleb, the mother of a three-year-old Clarksville girl who died Sunday, is now in custody in Breckinridge County, Kentucky -- according to the detention center's website.

The 23-year-old woman is being held in the Breckinridge County Detention Center on a charge of failure to appear in court, which is related to a previous child abuse charge.

An arrest warrant had been issued for Weigleb in Floyd County, but it has nothing to do with the recent death of her three-year-old child.

In 2011, Weigleb was incarcerated on a child abuse charge.

Detectives said on the Sunday before Christmas in 2010, then-18-year-old Cynthia Weigleb beat her 3-month-old child.

Her scheduled court appearance Tuesday stemmed from a 2013 probation violation in relation to that case.

Breckinridge County Sheriff Todd Pate said his agency was contacted by the U.S. Marshals' office out of New Albany, who said Weigleb might be in his jurisdiction.

Weigleb was picked up at an apartment in Irvington, where she was found with her mother and father.

Pate said she was taken into custody without incident and there were no kids at the apartment at the time.

She was booked in Breckinridge County, Ky., on Thursday afternoon.

She is now in the Breckinridge Detention Center on a $15,000 cash bond.

Pate said she is expected to appear in court next week.

Weigleb's three-year-old daughter died at a home in Clarksville on Sunday. The child's siblings are now with Child Protective Services. Clarksville police won't release any additional details about the death, but say Weigleb called 911 that night
