Dangerous ice lurks under snow in Sellersburg, Ind.

SELLERSBURG, Ind. (WDRB) -- People in southern Indiana were also busy digging out Thursday morning.

Conditions were improving in Sellersburg at noon Thursday. State Road 60 was still icy and slushy, but plows could be seen going by.

A semi truck got stuck in a KFC parking lot near the Salem exit of I-65 in Sellersburg.

Shovelers in the area say that dangerous ice lurks under the snow.

"I guess the rain from yesterday kind of made it icy underneath," said Nick Koetter of Koetter Construction, who was out shoveling snow. "Once I got the powder off the top, it just turned to a sheet of ice. I probably made two or three passes around. Hopefully when we get some salt down it will start going away pretty soon."
