LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - A portion of I-65 North in Hardin County is shut down as crews work to rescue a semi truck that went off the road.

Officials say a double-trailer semi went off the right side of the road.

The accident happened near mile marker 79, according to authorities.

I-65 North is closed beginning at exit 76, near Upton.

Traffic is being detoured to US 31W and allowed back on the highway at Exit 81, near Sonora.

Authorities advise drivers to slow down as they approach mile marker 76.

Recent rainfall has complicated recovery efforts.

The area is expected to be closed between three and four hours.
