LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - Kentucky State Police arrested a Jeffersontown man and have charged him with attempted murder.

Mikel Tyler, 39, is also accused of making threats against two Spencer County women, according to a news release.

Tyler, 39, was arrested on Monday at about 5:20 p.m., after police in Taylorsville received a complaint regarding threats that had been made against a Taylorsville woman and her daughter. Officials say the incident stemmed from a domestic dispute.

Authorities say Tyler was "heavily armed" at the time the incident happened.

Police have charged Tyler with attempted murder and three counts of terroristic threatening.

State police are continuing their investigation.
