Crews respond to apparent underground explosion at 4th and Liberty

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Police and emergency crews responded to an apparent underground explosion at 4th Street Live Tuesday afternoon.

It happened about 1:45 p.m.

Firefighters were setting up at a command post at 4th and Liberty Streets, and police were preparing to close Liberty Street. There were reports of smoke coming from a grate in the area.
