LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Metro Police have released new information about a vehicle they say was involved in a fatal hit-and-run accident last week.

It happened near the corner of Bardstown Road and Fegenbush Lane Friday night. Police say the victim was a pedestrian -- an elderly woman -- and she was pronounced dead at the scene.

On Wednesday afternoon, police released a description of the vehicle that was allegedly involved in the accident. Police say video footage indicates that the vehicle is, "a 1999 – 2007 Ford Escape, possibly light blue in color." The vehicle has damage to the left driver's side bumper, headlight and turn signal, according to police.
