LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Louisville man will have to pay $250,000 if he wants to get out of jail after police say he killed his girlfriend.

Police say 50-year-old Anthony Brigmon was driving under the influence when he crashed his car, hitting a utility pole. It happened early Sunday morning on Mount Holly Road, near Fairdale Road. His passenger, 46-year-old Stephanie Goebel, was killed.

Today, Brigmon's attorney told the court Goebel was his client's girlfriend.

A "not guilty" plea was entered on his behalf for DUI and murder charges.
