Louisville Metro Police identify officer involved in shooting Saturday
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) – Louisville Metro Police have identified the officer involved in a shooting Saturday.
Police say Officer Lisa Nagle shot a suspect near the corner of 26th and Chestnut Streets in the Russell neighborhood. The shooting happened just before 2 p.m. Saturday during a drug investigation.
Nagle is a seven-year veteran of the department, according to LMPD spokesperson Dwight Mitchell.
She has been placed on paid administrative duty as the LMPD Public Integrity Unit investigates.
Police did not say at the time if drugs were found, but had obtained a warrant to search the premises.
