LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Louisville woman has been arrested after police say she made false statements to obtain public assistance she wasn't eligible to receive.
According to the arrest warrant, 47-year-old Darlene Guin received the benefits between Sept. 1, 2005 and June 30, 2014.
During that time, police say she failed to report that the children that she was receiving benefits for were not household members. According to the arrest warrant, the amount of benefits from the state totaled $35,100.
Guin was arrested around 12:30 a.m. on March 19. She is charged with one felony count of making a false statement to receive benefits.
