LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - Louisville Metro Police have arrested a man officials say operated a vehicle under the influence and also had weapons and drugs in his possession.

Tyler Allen, 24, was arrested Friday at 1:42 a.m. at I-265 and Old Henry Road, following a traffic stop. Police say during the traffic stop, they located two weapons and drugs.

According to official police records, Henry was seen by police "speeding 81 mph NB on I-265 in a posted 65 mph zone."

Police say Allen increased his speed after an officer tried to initiate the traffic stop.

Officials say Allen was "swerving within lane" and "driving erratically" before he stopped his car.

Authorities say Allen was driving without insurance and that his registration was expired.

The police report says Allen's speech was slurred and his eyelids appeared to be very droopy.

Police say Allen told them he had not been drinking.

According to police, Allen said a gun was in the vehicle's console and he gave consent to police to secure the weapon while investigating. Additionally, Allen also gave his consent to allow the vehicle to be searched.

Police records state that the car contained an odor of marijuana. Officials say Allen told them he smoked marijuana about eight hours before he was pulled over.

During a search, police uncovered a small bag of marijuana that had been stuffed into an open hole in the vehicle's console. Allen told officials that he hid the drugs as he was being stopped, according to police records.

Police say they also uncovered a bottle of suspected codeine with a damaged label found in a box that was marked "Holy Bible." Investigators say there was marijuana residue and a lighter inside the box.

Inside the console, officers say they found a loaded .45 handgun and an extra magazine. The arrest report says police found a "loaded Bushmaster .223 AR15" rifle with "a round jammed in the chamber" hidden under clothing in the back seat.

Police say Allen was wanted on two outstanding bench warrants.

Allen faces several charges including carrying a concealed weapon, possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
