Elizabethtown man charged with murder after allegedly stabbing man

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- An Elizabethtown, Kentucky man has been charged with murder after authorities say he stabbed a man.

According to an arrest report, the incident took place on March 18, when Hardin County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to a fight that was happening at a home on 1st Street in Elizabethtown. 

Authorities say 63-year-old William Stienmetz pulled a pocketknife and stabbed the victim, Johnnie White.

White was taken via helicopter to University Hospital, where he was initially listed in fair condition, but he died two days later. 

Stienmetz is charged with murder and is currently being held in the Hardin County Detention Center.
