LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- His announcement isn't official yet, but U.S. Senator Rand Paul is already talking the competition for the White House in 2016.

"Nobody is doing better against Hillary Clinton than myself, because we're already picking up 3-5 percent or more of the independent vote above what the others are picking up, so I think you're already seeing that," Paul said.

The Kentucky native is talking about early polling and attacking Hillary Clinton, who has not officially said if she plans to run for President.

Paul says the eventual nominee will need to attack the Clintons and their corruption.

He's expected announce his plans on April 7 at the Galt House.
