Arrow Fund rescues neglected dog with arrow in thigh

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A dog was rushed to a local animal hospital after being shot by an arrow Tuesday night in Leslie County, Kentucky.

The dog is a Beagle/Border Collie mix and had an arrow in his thigh and tail.

The Arrow Fund, a local organization, stepped in to help and transported the dog to Louisville.

The arrow has been removed, and the dog -- now named Robin Hood -- is recovering at Blue Pearl Animal Hospital.

It appears he also suffered from neglect and a skin condition.
