LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Metro Police say they've arrested two people after a they were found in a car that fled from police and struck several other vehicles, including a police car.

It happened Wednesday afternoon at a hotel near the corner of Preston Highway and Fern Valley Road, where police say they spotted a white Cadillac Escalade matching the description of a vehicle that was used in the course of an armed robbery.

That armed robbery took place on Tuesday at a check cashing establishment on Preston Highway.

Police say that at the time they spotted the vehicle, a man, a woman and a child were inside.

Officers say they tried to stop the Escalade at the hotel, but the driver fled from police, driving north on Preston Highway.

During the pursuit, police say the driver struck several other cars, including one police vehicle.

Police say they followed the vehicle at slow speeds, and eventually stopped it in the Parkway Village area, off Preston Highway.

Both the male and female suspects -- who have not yet been identified -- were arrested and will soon face charges, according to police. The child, who was inside the vehicle during the slow-speed pursuit, was released to family members.
