LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) – Just two days before the team's inaugural match at Louisville Slugger Field, Louisville City FC announced a trio of new signings who have been playing with the club in the preseason.

Goalkeeper Greg Ranjitsingh, English forward Cameron Lancaster and Serbian forward Ilija Ilic were announced as part of the official roster.

Lancaster comes to Louisville from the youth academy at London's Tottenham Hotspur, where he played one game for the Premier League side in 2012. He spent the past three season on loan with sides in lower level English Football Association leagues.

Lancaster, 22, scored the game winning goal against Indiana University in Louisville City's 3-2 preseason victory.

“We invited Cameron to come on trial with us last month,” head coach James O'Connor said. “It was obvious within the first few days of training that he had great potential. He has the ability to score a lot of goals for us this season.”

Ilic played with midfielder Niall McCabe at Young Harris College and holds the record for most points in a season with the NCAA Division II school. He was voted 2014 player on the year in Division II while finished second in goals scored with 27.

The 6'2” Serbian striker has also been on trial with the club and notched a goal against Lindsey-Wilson in the club's 5-0 win over the NAIA team.

“Ilija is another player that we have been fortunate to sign,” O'Connor said. “He was constantly filling the stat sheet at Young Harris, and we now that we have seen what he can do first hand, we are thrilled to have him on board.”

Ranjitsingh is a 22-year-old Canadian who played at Mercer University, finishing his college career as one of the top goalies in the country. He was responsible for City's clean sheet in the 5-0 win over Lindsey Wilson.

“We invited Greg to come on-loan to us a few weeks ago,” O'Connor said. “During his time with us he proved that he has the skills to be a quality goalkeeper.”

Lancaster, Ilic, Ranjitsingh officially join the roster ahead of the team's inaugural match against St. Louis FC Saturday at 3 p.m.
