LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) – Louisville City FC is finally set for their first match. Thursday evening, with hundreds of season ticket holders in attendance, the club unveiled the inaugural uniforms with Humana splashed across the front.

The unveiling marks the announcement of Humana as the primary jersey sponsor, with Your Community Bank's logo on the back, El Jimador on the sleeve and ISCO Industries on the shorts.

Owner Wayne Estopinal said he was thankful for support inside Humana, with Vice President TJ Gibb being a huge soccer fan.

“With Adidas as our apparel sponsor, we went out hunting for some companies who felt like they could step up and be part of this kit,” Estopinal said.

Gibb said he'd been to several World Cups and is very excited to finally have a pro soccer team in his city.

"Our sponsorship with the team here really revolves around health," Gibb explained. "We've got 3.9 million kids across the country that play soccer and we've got 30 percent of the households that have soccer people in their family, so it's really part of the community."

The purple and white uniforms will be worn by the team throughout their inaugural season in the United Soccer League, beginning with their first game against Saint Louis FC Saturday at 3 p.m. at Slugger Field.
