LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- La Grange Police have released more details regarding a home invasion that happened late Thursday morning.

Investigators now say they believe the crime was "not a random act, but more of a target specific crime," according to a release that was issued Saturday morning.

Officials say they do not believe there is anyone posing as a delivery person attempting to gain entry into homes.

A woman and a baby were trapped inside an Oldham County home while being robbed at gunpoint.

La Grange Police say around 11 a.m. Thursday, a woman was babysitting a three-year-old on Woodland Ridge Road when a person posing as a delivery man entered the home with a gun.

The suspect kept the woman and child in a room, while other people took items from the home.

The suspect is described as a white male wearing a brown jacket and khaki shorts.

Police say the suspects were inside the home for about 30 minutes.

Anyone with information about the crime is asked to call La Grange Police at 502-225-0444 or Oldham County Dispatch at 502-222-0111.
