JCPS to hold memorial service for teens killed in train crash

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- JCPS plans a memorial for the students killed after a train slammed into their car.

Three students died after the crash at this Buechel railroad crossing earlier this month and one is still hospitalized.

The community service will take place at Seneca High School Saturday from 1-5 p.m., with a program to begin at 2:30.

District leaders and students will take part.

Suk Man Rai, 19, Chita Chuwan, 16, and Nagin Thapa, 17, died from their injuries.

A fourth teen, Kismat Mishra, is still hospitalized and listed as stable.
