INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (WDRB) - Four student-athletes, including a UK women's soccer player, sang the national anthem Saturday night at the Final Four in Indianapolis.

Kennedy Collier, a 21-year-old junior from Danville, was selected as UK's representation for the anthem.

The Boyle County graduate was selected Tuesday night alongside student-athletes from Duke, Wisconsin and Michigan State.

The NCAA reached out to athletic directors and coaches from each school last Sunday, asking for nominations of student-athletes who could sing the anthem.

Dozens of nominations were submitted. Amy Thornburg, a vocal coach in Indianapolis, helped select the four student-athletes.

Each one did a different portion of the anthem, and they practiced together for the first time Friday night.

The other three singers will be:

- Vitto Brown, Wisconsin men's basketball

- Deion Williams, Duke football

- Michelle Dear, Michigan State women's soccer
