Wonderopolis keeps students engaged during Spring and Summer break
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Keith Kaiser learns that kids can have fun and learn during Spring Break with Wonderopolis.
Wonderopolis is a place where natural curiosity and imagination lead to exploration and discovery in learners of all ages. The National Center for Families Learning (NCFL) created the Wonderopolis website and the Wonders of the Day. It becomes a learning moment at any time during the busy day.
Since October 2010, Wonderopolis has provided a unique approach to wonder and learning. It encourages people to ask questions and find answers. The website has won many awards.
Children, parents, teachers, schools, and families all benefit from Wonderopolis, as well as contribute to its content and growth. Founded in 1989 and based in Louisville, Kentucky, the National Center for Families Learning is the worldwide leader in family literacy.
More than one million families have made positive educational and economic gains as a result of NCFL's work, which includes training more than 150,000 teachers and thousands of volunteers.
