LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Louisville woman has been arrested after police say she stole over $1,000 worth of lottery tickets from the store where she was an employee.

According to an arrest report, the incident happened last week. Police say 24-year-old Lamisha R. Young was employed at a local store -- which is not identified in the official report -- in the 5000 block of Shepherdsville Road, near Buechel Bank Road.

While working there, she allegedly stole $1,155 worth of lottery tickets over a period of one week. Police say she threw away the losing tickets and cashed in the winning tickets at a different location.

Young admitted to the crime, according to the arrest report. She was arrested and charged with theft by unlawful taking.
