LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- GE says Appliance Park had a "productive day" Tuesday as about 80 percent of the company's roughly 3,000 salaried workers were back on site -- though the fire is not completely out yet -- according to a release.

Some of the employees were working from home or in other locations. The company says it has set up remote work sites for some of those who have been displaced by the loss of the building that burned down on Friday.

According to the release sent Tuesday evening, the company has a "limited production force" in place and plans to resume full production once it can replace its supply of parts.

The company says the clean-up process will not begin until the fire investigation is complete. There was no word on exactly how long the investigation will take.
