Finger Derpy mobile game launches horse racing app just in time for Derby season
Kara, Mike, Jude, and Candyce play Finger Derpy
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Finger Derpy is off and running.
Keith Kaiser and the WDRB in the Morning crew became gamers this morning. Local video games developer, Mommy's Best Games, Inc. has created a derby-themed horseracing game just in time for the Kentucky Derby Season, Finger Derpy.
The mobile game, available for Apple's IOS and Android takes players on a wacky ride. It's fun for young and old alike. There is a single-player version and a 4-player version, perfect for derby parties.
The object of the game: use your 2 fingers to guide your horse around the track faster than your competition. But be careful, your horse can get out of control really fast. The early release of Finger Derpy has fans calling it, "drunken horse-racing game".
They partnered with local businesses, such as the Kentucky Science Center to make the game a 'Louisville showpiece', meaning people will notice special nods to Louisville, the derby race track, but also Main St., the bridges, the river, bourbon barrels, football, and more. It's locally-made and locally-themed.
Join the Finger Derpy big launch party for the game at Zanzabar, 2100 S Preston St., Friday, April 10, 2015 from 6-11 p.m. It's FREE and open to the public.
