LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Police have arrested a Louisville man after he allegedly shot a man in the leg with a shotgun during an argument.

According to court documents, it happened on April 9. That's when police say the suspect, 57-year-old Wayne Duke, got into an argument with the victim "over a landlord dispute from a previous rental. As the men continued arguing, police say Duke shot the victim in the leg with a shotgun, damaging an artery.

Witnesses told police Duke took the shotgun and left the scene after shooting the victim.

Police say the victim was listed in serious condition at University Hospital.

Duke was arrested at his residence a short time later. He's charged with assault and tampering with physical evidence. He's being held on a $50,000 cash bond.
