LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) – Planned Parenthood of Indiana and Kentucky (PPINK) say free testing for sexually transmitted diseases will be offered at centers in Louisville and Lexington between April 20 and April 25, according to a news release.

The tests are being offered as part of the 7th annual "GYT: Get Yourself Tested" campaign.

Tests for HIV, chlamydia and gonorrhea will be available.

“Getting tested and using condoms is simply a basic part of staying healthy and taking control of your sex life,” said Betty Cockrum, president and CEO of PPINK. “We are proud to offer affordable STD testing and treatment, and sex education and information, to help ensure that people stay healthy and safe.”

Confidential counseling will also be available along with the tests.

The Planned Parenthood location in Louisville is located at 1025 South 2nd Street. The Lexington location is located at 268 Southland Drive, suite 120.

Those who want to have tests done can schedule appointments online or call 1-800 230-PLAN.
