Gallopalooza horses on display this weekend before hitting the streets

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - They're the most decorated horses in Louisville, and they're now on public display.

You can check out the new Gallopalooza statues this weekend before they hit the streets.

The collection preview is taking place at the corner of 8th and Magazine Streets near downtown Louisville.

About 75 new statues are on display there.

The event's director says people have just been amazed by the artwork.

"The art this year is fabulous," Gallapalooza Director Lynn Huffman said. "I mean every year is great, but we have a really strong collection and I think people are going to love it, and they're gonna have a lot of fun checking it out.  We have games, activities, music and obviously the beautiful artwork."

You can preview the statues again Sunday from 1-5 p.m and vote on your favorite.

They'll start going out next week, with the final ones hitting the streets over the summer.
