LOUISVILLE, Ky.  (WDRB) - Louisville Metro Police say they've charged a man who fired a weapon, sending a bullet through an apartment wall that nearly struck a mother and her two-year-old son while they were in bed.

Devante Harris, 22, was arrested Monday morning.

Police say on the morning of March 22, Harris fired a gun inside an apartment, located in the 600 block of Scholar House Court, near South Fifth Street, in Louisville.

Officials say the bullet traveled through a wall into the apartment next door and nearly hit a mother and her child while they were in bed.

The official police report says the bullet "passed through the bedroom wall, headboard, and was embedded in the pillow."

Harris is charged with wanton endangerment.
