Shelbyville police looking for suspects after murder victim found outside Centerbrook apartments

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Police in Shelbyville are looking for suspects after a man was fatally shot overnight. 

According to a news release from the Shelbyville Police Department, dispatchers received a call around midnight Tuesday on a possible shooting at the Centerbrook Apartments on Berea Street.

When officers arrived, they found the victim, 28-year-old Larry T. Bell from Louisville, in the parking lot with a gunshot wound. He was taken to Jewish Hospital in Louisville where he died from his injuries.

Witnesses at the scene told police they saw a red SUV with black running boards leaving the area at a high rate of speed after the shooting.

Police are still looking for the suspect.
