LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- It all played out in a quiet south Louisville neighborhood. Police were watching a home and found out the suspect was watching them.

"We heard a couple of big booms," said Stephen Clark, a nearby neighbor.

The big booms Clark heard were police kicking in the front door of a neighbor's home on Mount Holyoke Drive in south Louisville Wednesday night.

"We've always suspected something was going on around here, with a certain house," Clark said.

From the broken front door to a crooked mailbox and overturned chair in a bush, you can tell something hit the house hard. Lt. Sean Jackman, who is over in charge of LMPD's Third Division Flex Unit, says it was necessary because the suspect was watching them.

"Under special circumstances," Lt. Jackson explained, "you can apply for and get granted a no-knock warrant based upon the fact that he has got surveillance equipment, and cameras there, and also at that point had a lookout that was giving him information."

Inside the home, police arrested Troy Morris and three others. They say Morris is a dangerous drug dealer and rapist who was armed.

"We did get a 9mm and several thousand dollars," said Lt. Jackman. "He was on probation and he was on house arrest for his previous felony charges of narcotics charges."

This was the second significant drug bust this week in the same neighborhood: on Tuesday night police raided a home on Mount Everest Drive.

"This was within like a tenth of a mile, just right around the corner in the same neighborhood," said Lt. Jackman.

On Mount Everest, police arrested John Craig and several others -- all on drug charges.

"It has always been pretty quiet around here," said Clark. He says hopes all the arrests will help quiet things down again.

"I got kids out here and everything and I don't want them to experience all of this stuff," said Clark.

Police say they started watching both homes after complaints from concerned neighbors.
