LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Metro Police have made an arrest in the death of Marvin Davey, of Jeffersonville, who was killed last weekend in what was described as a brutal manner.

Police say Jesse C. Williams has been charged with murder, robbery and tampering with physical evidence -- in connection to Davey's murder.

According to the citation, Williams and Davey got in a fight in Jeffersonville. Davey was entangled in his seat belt, at which point Williams stole money from him. Williams then got in Davey's car and drove off, dragging him from Jeffersonville to Louisville.

Police say Williams then parked the car and disposed of his bloody shirt. Davey died from blunt force trauma.

Sgt. Emily McKinley says Williams and Davey were friends. She says police arrested Williams Friday, who gave a statement to police and was taken to Metro Corrections to be booked.

A funeral for Davey has been set for Saturday at Gilt Edge Baptist Church in Jeffersonville.
