Traffic stop on I-65 in Seymour leads to seizure of $40,000 in heroin
Indiana State Police says a trooper pulled over a vehicle for speeding along I-65 near Seymour on Sunday morning.
After a K9 searched around the car, police say the trooper found 12 ounces of heroin worth $40,000 in the passenger compartment.
The driver and two passengers were arrested.
Shawnee Gentry, Shanon Straughter and Steven Woolridge were charged with felonies related to dealing and possessing heroin.
Straughter was also charged with one court of identity theft, also a felony.
Gentry and Straughter are from Chicago, while Woolridge is from Richmond, Ky.
