LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - Jonathan Hardin, a former LMPD school resource officer accused of choking a JCPS student, is expected in court Monday.

Investigators say Hardin choked a 13-year-old student until he passed out.

Hardin was a resource officer at Olmsted Academy North when the incident allegedly happened. He was indicted on charges of second degree assault, wanton endangerment and official misconduct.

Hardin is also accused of punching another student at the school.

He is facing a lawsuit in both cases.

Hardin was fired from LMPD in March.
