Nylabone dog treats recalled over salmonella contamination
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Nylabone Dog treats have been recalled over fears of salmonella contamination.
The dog chews sold in a puppy starter kit are being recalled after the Food and Drug Administration said there's a potential risk not only to pets, but to humans handling the bone-shaped chews.
The recall is voluntary and no illnesses have been linked to the product at this point.
Symptoms of Salmonella infection include lethargy, fever, and vomiting.
